AK47's stock continues to drop.
He cried in front of reporters after scoring 2 points in 16 minutes in Game 1.
Game 2: 18 minutes, 5 fouls, no points, and presumably more tears.
I don't know what is going on with this guy or where his head and health are at,
but after Utah gets bounced, it's worth a call.
AK's contract is a whopping $62M over the next 4 years ... so if he's lost his motivation/edge/health, it's a significant risk. You'd think a small market team like Utah would love to ditch that obligation.
Last year they were getting real nervous on Boozer's slightly smaller/shorter deal.
Ak's contract is so crazy, I'd offer Francis straight up.
Save them nearly $30M and 2 years total, though they'd pay an extra $3M each of the next two years.
Then we could certainly part with Jeffries if we got Kirilenko.
AK47 just turned 26. Not sure about his health.

Ye Newe Glory-torium
Here, dear readers, is the final resting place of all weary Knicks fans. Yes, here is where one comes when the Triangle refuses to have three sides, when biting one's lip from losing to win later is one loss too far,or when said fan simply hits 'rock' bottom. In short, "the ship be" eternally "sinking" here. Welcome aboard, rearrange the deck chairs as you please.

Franchise would not fit in with Utah, Coach Sloan, and Deron WIlliams.
They'd just waive him. I think they want something more than cap relief.
Sloan might not be a fan, but right now Harpring and Okur (their center) are their only outside shooters, and Derek Fisher is starting at SG. They could use Francis at SG, unless he's shot.
The other option is to trade them Jeffries plus _____. Offer up Malik, or JJ. I'd be tempted to do AK + CJMiles = Jeffries and Craw. Doubt that'd be popular here though.
Brewer and Miles are good young players that Sloan will bring along slowly.
Thing is how many teams would take on AK96's (woolly) mammoth contract. And should we? Not clear what his mental or physical health is. He used to be a terror on defense just a short while ago (prior to surgery).
Hey, I said no to Boozer, so what do I know.
AK hasn't been the same since surgery.
Do not think Dolan would sign off on this one.
